What is the Ogae Song Contest?
OGAE is the shortening of Organisation Generales des Amateurs de l'Eurovision. OGAE is the network of Eurovision-fan clubs across all Europe.
All OGAE-clubs are asked to send in a song for this Eurovision-like contest. The songs are being aired in a radio program with interval act, presentations and votes. Many people have already had a good time being a juror. First of all it's a nice and easy way to find out, what the European music scene is like. The contest is the best alternative to the long and hard time from one Eurovision to another.
Which songs can take part?
Songs can enter the OGAE SC, if:
- They were released in the actual or in previous year
- The song is in national language and it is a non-remix version
It is released on album or on single and is not live recording or from a concert
- It didn't represent country at the ESC, OGAE SCC or OGAE VSC
- The performer of the song must have the nationality of the country he/she is performing for. If the performer is a group, at least 1 of the members must have the nationality of the country he/she is representing.
- It does not last more than 5 minutes
