Augie March
Augie March are a five-piece band from Melbourne, Australia who formed in 1996. They take their name from a Saul Bellow novel ‘The Adventures of Augie March’. After many years of hard graft supporting other bands, during recent times they have achieved both critical and commercial success with their album ‘Moo, You Bloody Choir’ and the single ‘One Crowded Hour’. In January 2007 the song was voted #1 on Australian radio station Triple J's annual Hottest 100 songs for 2006, and in March the band won the Australian Music Prize.
