Despina Olympiou was born and raised in Lemesos, Cyprus. She made there her first steps in artist scene.
She studied piano and music theory at Trinity College. Her first professional steps started on 1992 in Cyprus and on 1993 moved to Greece and had a co-operation with the big Greek singer Yiannis Parios. She also has worked with Haris Alexiou, Manolis Lidakis,Dimitris Mitropanos, Mimis Plessas,. The first song she released was in Yiorgos Sarris’s album, singing in a duet with him the song “I kounia mas”,.Composer and lyricist of that song was the great Greek Diva, Haris Alexiou. |
