Super Bus

Superbus is a pop-rock band which released their first album “Aeromusical” in 2002. 80,000 copies of the album were sold and the band became the pop revelation of the French music scene the very year. In 2004 their second album “Pop’n gum” was released with surf type sound of the 60’s and it went gold and they were also awarded the MTV Europe Awards as the best French band. In 2006 their third opus “Wow” came out as the most accomplished album with many 80’s new wave arrangements and disco influences too.

The success of Superbus owes a lot to their very charismatic and sexy female singer Jennifer Ayache, 22 years old. She is also the author and composer of the band. The other members are Michel Giovanetti and Patrice Focone (guitar), Francois Even (bass) and Greg Jacks(drums). Jennifer is also at the origin of the name of the group. Looking for a good name in a Latin dictionary, she came across the word “superbus” which means superb, insolent and proud. Superbus admits their main influences come from bands like No Doubt, Blondie, Weezer and Sublime. The song “Butterfly” won the last round of the French selection with a huge margin as 11 members out of 15 gave it the maximum score.
