Back in 2003 Bjorn Eidsvag took part for Norway in OGAESC together with the Swedish Lisa Nilsson. This year he returns to the contest and again he sings in a duet. This time, with Norwegian Elvira Nkolaisen, an up-and coming star.
They sing “Floden” (The River) from Bjorn Eidsvag’s latest album”Nade” (Mercy). The slightly erotic lyrics deal with the emotions a pair in love obviously can have for one another.

Eidsvag is a former priest and at 53, he’s one of Norway’s most successful pop acts. He has released more than 20 albums since his debut as an artist in 1993 and has risen to the level of stardom which allows you to be impersonated by famous comedians.

Elvira Nikolaisen is 25 years old and has over the past few years established herself firmly in the Norwegian pop universe. This, with the help of songs like; “Love I can’t defend” and “Egypt Song”. She has most certainly a bright future in store.

With “Floden”, Norway sends a song which combine the best of old and new streams of creativity in contemporary Norwegian pop.
